In addition, XING Mobility displayed the Hummingbird® mobile charging station, developed in collaboration with Nordic Booster, powered by the IMMERSIO™ XM25 battery system. Pioneering Fire Safety in EV Batteries
XING Mobility’s patented immersion cooling technology is revolutionizing battery safety by addressing one of the most critical risks associated with EVs: thermal runaway, which often leads to fires. Unlike traditional cooling systems, XING’s immersion-cooled batteries submerge the cells in a dielectric coolant, preventing dangerous overheating. This technology was showcased in 2023 when XING successfully completed the world’s first three-nail penetration safety test. The test demonstrated that the IMMERSIO™ system could reduce punctured cell temperatures from 1,600°C to below 100°C in less than 10 seconds, effectively preventing fires.
