The 564Ah battery cell introduces REPT BATTERO’s WENDING 2.0 technology, a breakthrough that enhances energy efficiency, consistency, and lifespan, while virtually eliminating attenuation. The technology applies Double-High Electrode advancements to optimize performance.
The WENDING 564Ah battery is designed to meet long-term energy storage needs, boasting over 10,000 charging cycles and a lifespan of 25 to 30 years. With this innovative design, REPT BATTERO has addressed key challenges in large-capacity batteries, including thermal runaway and overcharging risks. The WENDING structural design improves internal space utilization by 5% and reduces the Direct Current Internal Resistance (DCIR) by 16%, achieving an energy efficiency rate of 96.4%. Additionally, Double-High Electrode technology increases the ion migration rate by 30%, boosting both energy density and battery efficiency.
This technology, combined with the battery’s ability to store energy for over four hours, marks a significant leap forward in ensuring energy storage that is safe, reliable, and highly efficient for long-term use.
Powtrix Energy Storage System: Ensuring Security and Efficiency
At RE+ 2024, REPT BATTERO also unveiled the Powtrix energy storage system, which further enhances containerized battery solutions. Built upon the WENDING 564Ah battery cell, the Powtrix system is designed to meet growing global demand for long-duration energy storage solutions. Capable of storing over 6MWh on the DC side, the system achieves a container-level efficiency of over 95% and can operate for more than 25 years.
Powtrix’s durability is another standout feature, with its IP55 + C5 anti-corrosion level ensuring that the system can withstand extreme environmental conditions, including heat, humidity, dust, wind, and salt spray. Internal components have been rigorously tested under high temperatures of 60°C, demonstrating the system’s resilience. Active balancing technology has also been integrated, offering a 20-fold increase in capacity, a 150-fold improvement in energy savings, and an 80% reduction in operation and maintenance costs.
In terms of safety, the Powtrix system excels. It supports thermoelectric separation, short-circuit arc protection, and continuous safety monitoring, while its passive safety features have been validated through comprehensive UL 9540A fire testing. The system applies both module and system-level firefighting strategies, minimizing thermal diffusion and reducing the risk of fire.
Powtrix offers a 20% increase in energy density, a 16.6% reduction in spatial footprint, and a 15.7% reduction in investment costs compared to traditional 5MWh systems. It meets stringent U.S. safety regulations, including NEC, NFPA, and IEEE standards, and has excelled in large-scale fire assessment tests.
System Integration and Global Compatibility
Designed with flexibility in mind, Powtrix offers compatibility with various Power Conversion System (PCS) technologies and system architectures. The system’s output interface design supports both bottom and end-side outlets, and its wiring junction supports single-channel and multi-channel outputs, making it adaptable to global customer needs.
