According to news on January 23, the “China All-Solid-State Battery Industry-Academic-Research Collaborative Innovation Platform” (CASIP) held its founding meeting in Beijing from January 21 to 22, and held the “China All-Solid-State Battery Innovation and Development Summit Forum”.
It is reported that the platform was jointly launched by a number of academicians and experts, a number of leading companies, well-known universities, research institutions and multiple local governments under the guidance of the China Industry-University-Research Cooperation Promotion Association, with Academician Ouyang Minggao Workstation as the backing unit. An unincorporated organization dedicated to promoting the academic and industrial development of all-solid-state batteries in my country.

Participating in the forum were battery manufacturers such as CATL, Fudi Battery, China New Aviation, Funeng Technology, Honeycomb Energy, Everview Lithium Energy, as well as SAIC Group, FAW Group, Dongfeng Motor, BYD, GAC Aian, and Chery. Automobile manufacturers such as Kaiyi Automobile, Changan Automobile, BAIC Motor, SAIC-GM-Wuling Motors, and NIO.
Miao Wei, member of the Standing Committee of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and deputy director of the Economic Committee, said at the conference: It is expected that by 2025 or 2026, new energy vehicles will account for more than half of new car sales.
Chen Liquan, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and researcher at the Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, said: “The development of all-solid-state batteries has broad prospects, but there are still many problems that have not been completely solved.”
Therefore, in order to improve the energy density, rate performance and cycle life of all-solid-state batteries, we must not only pay attention to the basic scientific issues of all-solid-state lithium batteries, but also pay attention to the key technical issues of all-solid-state batteries.
At present, the current understanding of the research and development of all-solid-state batteries in China still needs to be unified, gather strength, and coordinate industry, academia, and research. It is necessary to join forces to establish a collaborative innovation platform and jointly break through the key technologies for the industrialization of all-solid-state batteries.
