Sungrow’s New C&I Energy Storage Solution Shines at Jinan Solar Expo

On March 5, 2025, the China Jinan Solar Comprehensive Energy Exhibition commenced in grand fashion, with Sungrow capturing attention through its self-developed full-stack technology. The company presented its integrated solar-storage-charging solutions tailored for three major applications: zero-carbon industrial parks, zero-carbon households, and large-scale zero-carbon industries. With a strong commitment to a carbon-free future, Sungrow continues to push the boundaries of energy innovation.

Beyond Conversion Efficiency: A New Era of All-Weather High-Performance Storage

On the first day of the exhibition, Sungrow introduced its next-generation 400V commercial and industrial (C&I) energy storage system, the PowerStack 255CS. Designed to meet diverse energy storage needs, it offers two configurations—2-hour and 4-hour systems—with respective storage capacities of 257kWh and 514kWh. With a core philosophy centered around “all-weather, real returns,” Sungrow has pioneered the industry’s first all-weather high-efficiency steady-state system.

Equipped with a user-side customized grid-forming technology, the PowerStack 255CS ensures stable power supply around the clock. Its end-to-end intelligent management system enables seamless, hands-free operation and maintenance. Additionally, with operational noise levels kept below 65dB, businesses can enjoy quiet yet efficient energy savings. The PowerStack 255CS provides an economical, reliable, and hassle-free energy storage solution for commercial and industrial users.

During the product launch event, Li Canlin, Deputy General Manager of Solutions at Sungrow China, emphasized, “Efficiency is the key determinant of energy storage profitability. However, the industry currently lacks standardized efficiency metrics, leading to misleading claims based on peak conversion efficiency, which do not reflect actual performance in real-world conditions.”

To address this, Sungrow has pioneered the industry’s first 24-hour efficiency assessment, incorporating real-world conditions such as auxiliary power supply and standby losses. Tests confirm that the PowerStack 255CS achieves an all-weather comprehensive efficiency of ≥88%, outperforming industry standards by 2%-4%. This translates to an additional revenue increase of ¥40,000 per year for a 1MWh station and an initial investment cost reduction of 5%-10%, ensuring more stable and reliable returns for users and investors alike.

In a speech titled “Comprehensive Coverage for a Carbon-Free Future,” Wang Wei, Senior Manager of Solutions at Sungrow, highlighted the challenges of global energy transition. “Low-carbon transformation is inevitable, yet the path is fraught with obstacles, including diverse application scenarios, interoperability issues between different manufacturers, and inadequate service support, all of which hinder progress.”

To overcome these barriers, Sungrow has developed an integrated solar-storage-charging-cloud solution, ensuring seamless connectivity across products, applications, data, and services. This comprehensive approach enhances the efficiency and accessibility of low-carbon transformation for businesses worldwide.
