Statera Energy has announced the completion of its latest battery storage facility, Dollymans Storage, located in Essex, UK. The 100MW facility has entered commercial operations, adding to the company’s total battery operational capacity of 300MW. Dollymans Storage is Statera’s fifth operational battery storage project and was delivered in just 11 months by their in-house delivery team, Statera Energy Projects, who acted as the Principal Designer and Contractor.

The facility benefits from a T-4 Capacity Market contract and provides ancillary services to the National Grid, as well as participating in wholesale market trading. The project has been partly funded through a £110 million debt facility provided by NatWest and Santander, which forms part of Statera’s portfolio.
Statkraft, Statera’s strategic partner in the development of 1GW of flexible generation assets, will be responsible for offtaking the energy generated by Dollymans Storage.
