Slovakia now only subsidizing communal EVs

The subvention program that was extended by half a year at the end of last year for the acquisition of BEVs and PHEVs by private persons will not be renewed.

800 electrified vehicles were brought on to Slovakia’s streets with help of the program, more than 70% of which were fully electric. The government granted up to €5,000 subsidies for the purchase of a vehicle. Not all of the money in the pot was used, however. Now, the Slovak government is planning a 1 million euro subvention program aimed at communities.
